General Winter eBook Grigory Adamov Reviews
This book was captivating and interesting to read. It held my attention. The ending was abrupt, was expecting more, but was good!
General Winter is a testament to the enduring legacy of an awe inspiring tale. You’d be hard pressed to guess it was written more than half a century ago.
It is true that some of the technologies and settings are a bit out of place, but the stories strength carries it past these dated ideas.
It was kind of weird and they kept referring to "The Soviet Union" but the technology was obviously from a future time. Not my favorite.
I liked the mechanical aspects of thus grand scheme but I found it rather disjointed.
A thrilling chase across the endless Siberian winter. This book is so vividly written that the reader can almost feel the bone-chilling environment. A well-written, and compelling narrative.
Poorly written or translated, poor sentence structure, conclusions drawn from overly simplified ideas with a lack of solid scientific basis
I enjoy novels of intrigue, dark politics, and experimental technology. The question of the effect of all the melted arctic ice is never addressed here. Also, there are numerous grammatical errors and/or typos. The writing is often simplistic and cliched. But it was a fun read.
